This table was built as an exercise while teaching woodworking techniques.  It is now a piece in my collection.

Highly figured Anigre veneer, edged with 50mm wide, continuous grain, curly Black Walnut, inlayed with stringing of solid Anigre. 

The table edges are curved and also taper in thickness from 10 mm at the edge to 25 mm at the transition to the veneer.  Due to the nature of this work it was done entirely with hand tools.    

The stretchers are inlayed with Anigre and the legs are fully tapered on two sides and gently tapered on two more. 

Leg to stretcher joinery is mortise and tenon.

The table was finished with four coats of pre catalyzed Nitrocellulose Lacquer.
